Testimonials

“My trip to the Northern Rhone region was absolutely perfect and that was because of Farouk’s expert guidance. I had never been to this part of France and I was so impressed with the area, it is beautiful, unique and friendly. We enjoyed delicious food and wine and gorgeous surroundings. Farouk knows and loves the area and it really shows in how he wants to make your experience perfect. He scheduled diverse and informative winery visits and tastings, we enjoyed fantastic restaurants that he selected, he took us on a few small hikes to take in the beautiful views and he knew about good local shopping options. I look forward to going back one day and hope that Farouk can be my guide again!”

HERMITAGE A legendary cru… Over centuries, this mythical cru has built its reputation on a single hill, and an epic history.

la Commanderie de Peyrassol

I’ve wanted to visit France for many years, but I never could seem to make it happen.  When Farouk stepped in and took over the burden of planning, I knew my dream was about to come true.  As my group grew, Farouk adjusted easily and creatively.  Having lived in such a beautiful part of France, Farouk’s understanding of the culture, language, and hidden gems gave the trip a depth I never would have otherwise found.  We started in the Northern Rhone region, visiting Saint-Péray, Cornas, Crozes-Hermitage, and Hermitage vineyards – then traveled to Avignon and the Chateauneuf-du-Pape vineyards.  We relaxed in Cannes, walked all over Paris, and ended in the vibrant city of Lyon.  His passion for wine is contagious and he helped this relative novice explore and learn with great patience and not even a hint of condescension.  The food, the wine, the views, touring big cities, but also towns quite off the beaten path – overall it was a priceless experience.  I look forward to returning to France and hope to have Farouk as my guide again.
